On 22nd July 2016, Pacific Integrated Logistics Group (PILG) participated in the Finals of Supply Chain Challenge 2016 as a mentor company to TeamJam, a group of 4 students from Singapore Polytechnic. In the Finals, TeamJam won 1st Runner Up out of 8 finalist teams. There were a total of 55 participating teams from the various polytechnics and ITEs.
Co-organized by Singapore Logistics Association and SIM University with Spring Singapore as a supporting partner, Supply Chain Challenge is an annual case competition for pre-university students to gain exposure to the logistics industry and to showcase their creativity and talents by coming up with feasible solutions for real life logistics related business problems.
In the 5th instalment of Supply Chain Challenge, 8 mentor companies have written and prepared their own business cases whereby one team will be selected and will undergo a 6-week mentorship program with the respective mentor company to compete in the Finals.
Over the course of 6 weeks toward the finals, PILG mentored TeamJam by providing constructive feedback to their solutions and presentation, as well as challenging them with questions after each session for them to discuss and progressively improve their proposal.
In line with our commitment to education and training, PILG is proud of our mentee company TeamJam for their achievements in the Finals and are honoured to be a part of this meaningful event.
